Spirulina helps to strengthen your natural defence system
STRENGTHENING NATURAL DEFENSES
In present times, we're all talking about immunity. The fact that bacteria and viruses are always around means we need to boost our immunity (and even more so when you have viruses that are a little tougher...). But let it be said: boosting one's immune system does not mean that we are invincible, it can simply make us feel better and have our defenses more present if necessary. The immune system is the first line of defense against external aggression. It is able to differentiate between good healthy body cells and cells that can be harmful to the body.
The immune system can be weakened by different things like:
- Non-restorative sleep
- Physical inactivity
- A diet that is neither varied nor balanced
- Seasonal changes
- Other medical problems
So what about spirulina?
It contains several proven nutrients that will help strengthen the natural defenses. That's why it is called an immune booster.
Beta-carotene: antioxidant and boosts immunity and antibodies
Phycocyanin: extremely powerful antioxidant and unique to our product
Vitamin E: antioxidant and immune stimulant
Vitamin B12: helps in the formation of antibodies
Gamma-linolenic acids (omega 6): anti-infectious, anti-allergic, essential for immunity (source1).
Selenium: intervenes in the processes of our immune defences
Iron: maintains immunity
Zinc: improves immune function
These various nutrients serve to stimulate the immune system and make it difficult for pathogens. Spirulina acts on white blood cells T-lymphocytes and macrophages (natural killers) which have the action of destroying or enclosing harmful elements. In addition, spirulina contains many antioxidants which will protect cells against an abnormal inflammatory reaction. More, it will have an anti-viral action against colds for example or small seasonal inconveniences. Spirulina is an immune booster and prevents pathogens from proliferating. With this immune stimulating power, spirulina also has an action against allergies and helps people who are weakened.
Take care of yourself!
For a cure of a few weeks or for a daily intake over a long period we recommend a dose of 3 to 5 grams per day. Spirulina can be consumed directly or mixed with fruit juices, smoothies, sandwiches, salads or simple dishes. Remember to strengthen your immune system and share the advice of our nutritionist with family members, relatives and friends.
